Foxxception Launches Latinitas, an App That Teaches Latin Through Catholic Prayer

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (April 14, 2026) Foxxception LLC today announced the launch of Latinitas: Learn Latin, an app that teaches Church Latin one prayer at a time. Latinitas is available now on the App Store.

Interest in the Traditional Latin Mass and the Church's Latin heritage keeps growing, but most Latin courses start with classical grammar rather than the prayers Catholics actually say. Latinitas starts with prayer. Learners work through each prayer verse by verse, with English translations alongside the Latin, until they can pray it from memory and understand every word.

Key features

• Traditional prayers in four modules (Foundations, Devotions, Rosary and Liturgy), from the Sign of the Cross to the Holy Rosary.
• Verse-by-verse lessons with English translations.
• Five exercise types: context, translation, fill-in-the-blank, word order ("Build the Verse") and grammar.
• XP and levels: advance from Catechumen to Magister as lessons are completed.

"I wanted to understand the prayers I was saying, not just recite them," said Jeremy Foxx, founder of Foxxception. "Latinitas starts with the Our Father and the Hail Mary, and teaches the language through them."
